Run your first report

Open Child Care Demand and sign in or follow the trial link.
Enter the exact address or centre name and select the correct search result.
In a new report, choose the catchment that matches your question. Drive-time options are 5, 10 and 15 minutes. Use the same catchment when comparing sites.
Read current supply, demand indicators and development evidence together. Check source dates and confidence notes before relying on a number.
Use the findings to identify the next questions for local diligence.

What to look for

For an acquisition, consider existing competition and demand around the centre. For a development, review proposed competing supply and the strength of the source evidence. For expansion, compare locations on a consistent basis.

A report is a screening tool. It does not guarantee occupancy, investment returns or planning approval. Missing evidence should prompt further checks.

Report a bug or incorrect data

Tell us what is stopping you

Open the chat on Child Care Demand or email support@childcaredemand.com. Luke personally reads customer messages.

For a bug, include:

The affected page or report link.
What you expected and what actually happened.
The steps that reproduce it and the approximate time it occurred.
Your browser and device, plus a screenshot if useful.
Whether it blocks your work and whether other teammates are affected.

Hide unrelated personal or confidential information in screenshots. Do not send passwords, verification codes or payment-card details. Avoid repeating a payment when you are unsure whether it succeeded.

Report a data correction

Open the affected report while signed in and select Report a data issue. The report address, report reference and workspace are attached automatically. Check the suggested report section, describe what looks wrong, and add a public source or correction link if available. Do not include secure share links.

After sending, keep the saved reference. You can quote it in chat or email if your work is blocked, and send an optional screenshot through chat after hiding unrelated private information. If the form cannot save your report, use chat or email and include the report address, affected field and public evidence. We check the underlying evidence before confirming a correction. Missing evidence may remain marked unavailable until it can be verified.

Choose a catchment and compare sites

Keep comparisons consistent

In a new report, choose a drive-time catchment of 5, 10 or 15 minutes, or the radius option offered in the form. A drive-time area follows the road network; a radius measures straight-line distance. They can include different centres and populations.

Start with the catchment that fits your local market and question. Then compare alternatives using the same type and size. Do not compare a five-minute result for one site with a fifteen-minute result for another without allowing for that difference.

Check the address

Select the correct search result and confirm the map location before interpreting the report. Similar centre names and incomplete addresses can lead to the wrong location.

Portfolio reports

The new-report form accepts up to eight portfolio addresses, one per line. Each site is calculated separately; overlapping catchments are de-duplicated where isochrones are available. Read any fallback or overlap notes shown in the report.

For a decision involving several sites, review both the individual locations and the portfolio context. Ask Luke in chat if a catchment or comparison looks unexpected.

Billing questions, cancellation and refund requests

Find billing information

Your workspace admin can open Settings > Billing and seats > Manage billing to review subscription, invoice and payment options. If the portal does not open, contact Luke in chat with the error and invoice reference if available.

Cancel a subscription or trial

Use the billing portal and check its confirmation, effective date and any upcoming charge. To avoid a trial converting to a paid annual subscription, cancel before the first charge shown for your trial.

The published subscription terms explain renewal, cancellation and refunds. A chat request alone is not a cancellation confirmation. If you cannot access the portal, tell Luke promptly so he can investigate.

Query a charge or request a refund

Send the invoice reference, date and a brief explanation of the issue. Do not send card numbers or bank details. Luke will review the account and the applicable terms before confirming an outcome.

If a payment result is unclear, avoid repeatedly submitting it. Ask for the payment state to be checked first.

Pricing, seats and trial terms

Choose a plan

Child Care Demand includes unlimited reports and addresses, billed per workspace seat. Each person needs their own access.

Monthly: AUD $350 + GST per seat per month, or $385 including GST.
Annual: AUD $1,200 + GST per seat for 12 months, or $1,320 including GST. The annual plan is billed annually, not monthly.

The annual price is $3,000 + GST less per seat than 12 monthly payments. Check the current price and any applicable offer at checkout.

Before starting a trial

Use the Start free trial link on the website. If you have a voucher, enter it in checkout and read the terms displayed after validation. Voucher trials apply to the annual plan and collect a card up front. The applicable trial duration and first charge are shown before you confirm.

Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription converts to the annual charge. Do not assume that creating an account alone activates a trial, or that every offer has the same duration.

Managing your subscription

Workspace admins can open Settings > Billing and seats > Manage billing. Review the billing portal confirmation for the effective date of any change. For a trial, cancel before the first charge if you do not want to continue.

How to read demand, supply and development evidence

Read the evidence as well as the headline

A catchment report combines different measures. They answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Approved places describe service capacity, not current vacancies or actual occupancy.
Population and estimated demand describe the local demand model, not a waiting list of families ready to enrol.
Observed CCS enrolments are a separate signal with their own age range, geography and reporting period.
A development application is evidence of a proposed project, not proof that a centre is operating or will open on a particular date.

Check dates, coverage and confidence

Use the report's source links, dates and confidence notes. An unknown place count stays unknown. A missing pipeline record does not prove that there is no proposed competition. Public planning evidence and refresh coverage can vary by council.

Why can two reports disagree?

Check the exact address, catchment type and size, source periods and metric definitions first. A drive-time catchment and a radius can cover different communities. Compare like with like.

If a figure looks wrong, send Luke the report link, affected field and a public source supporting the correction.
